Export a plan to DXF or IFC and read the fidelity report
Download DXF or IFC4 from Export plans, then read the review that lists what was kept, approximated and left out. The files are interchange copies of an unsurveyed plan, not a certified drawing.
How to use it
- Open Floor Plans, choose Export plans, then Download DXF or Download IFC. Both are created in your browser from the saved plan.
- Read the review that follows and use Download report for the same details as a JSON file. It lists what was exported, approximated or lost, plus units, precision and warnings.
- Files use real units from the saved scale (DXF R2000; IFC4 in metres). If the scale was never set, the file is marked uncalibrated with a visible warning.
- DXF carries walls (outline and centerline), rooms with labels, and doors and windows, on layers by floor. IFC carries storeys, rooms, walls, doors, windows and openings. It does not carry roofs, slabs, stairs, furniture or wall joins.
- Each plan shows its source as Approximate, User measured, Imported, unverified, or Professionally supplied (not verified by ResiArk). A reviewed import is recorded as Imported, unverified and keeps its DXF layers and source units. ResiArk never labels a plan surveyed, certified or permit-ready.
- Importing DXF reports hatches, leaders, 3D geometry, paper space and missing blocks instead of dropping them silently. DWG and IFC import use the background converter where configured.
- ResiArk's own DXF re-imports through ResiArk, and the IFC export passed independent schema validation in testing. Opening in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Revit or ArchiCAD has not been tested, so check the result in your own software. There is not yet a form to enter survey, layer or sill and head height details.
Available wherever plan export is available. The export runs in your browser from the plan you can already open.
