Find and place items from the item library

Search a categorized library of homeowner items, place scaled design symbols in a room, arrange several at once, and save your own custom items.

How to use it

  1. On Edit property, open Browse the item library and search by everyday words such as fridge, breaker box or hose bib. Filter by category or by outdoor and indoor, star favorites, then choose an item and press Add feature. Garages, sheds, workshops and guesthouses are added as buildings that can hold their own floor plans.
  2. In a room editor or the shared-floor list, open Add a design-only room symbol (or floor symbol). Symbols are scaled footprints with real default sizes, such as a refrigerator at 3 by 2.5 feet. They are design-only: adding one never creates an inventory or equipment record. Link a record separately when it is a real asset.
  3. Open Arrange several items to choose two or more items, then align, distribute or duplicate them. The change is checked against the room outline first and is one action, so one Undo reverts it. Items linked to a record are not duplicated, because a copy would look like a second physical asset.
  4. Create a custom item with a name, category, width and depth. Custom items are shared with your household when you are signed in (viewers can use them; editors can add or remove them). Favorites and recently used items are saved in this browser for this home and do not sync. Use Objects on this map to find and select any object without aiming at a small symbol.

Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
