Edit connected walls and record locations

Use connected geometry commands, explicit placement review and record pins to keep drawing changes understandable.

How to use it

  1. Use Project & tools to search and select walls, rooms or placements. On phones, Canvas, Project & tools and Selection show one panel at a time. Selecting a single element clears an earlier group.
  2. Connected geometry can split and join supported straight walls, curve a wall, rotate or mirror complete connected groups, and lock or hide walls. Doors, windows and supported wall pins follow their anchors. Crossings, unsupported joins or incomplete connected selections require correction.
  3. Detect closed rooms uses explicit closed wall boundaries and preserves boundary links; enclosed inner boundaries become excluded voids. Room area subtracts these voids. Measurements describe the drawing and do not certify appraisal area, legal boundaries or building compliance.
  4. Before splitting or merging rooms, review every affected placement. Keep its valid destination or retain its point for review. Reviewed existing-record moves save together with geometry where supported; Undo/Redo restores both. Saved room locations and their documents are not silently deleted.
  5. Plan record locations lists authorized construction, inspection, equipment and document pins. Review unresolved pins, explicitly relink to an authorized record, change a wall position or room point, or detach the pin without deleting its source record.
  6. Add design-only floor or room symbols without creating inventory or installed assets. Linked equipment must already have an eligible saved location. A stair symbol is visual design; use an explicit floor connection to describe movement between floors. Each floor has its own dimensions and alignment; editing an interior does not resize the site footprint.

Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
