Use map keyboard tools and recover a failed save

Focus the canvas for zoom shortcuts, or focus an object or corner to move it precisely. The save indicator distinguishes pending work, server saves and conflicts.

How to use it

  1. Use Tab to focus a map. Press + or − to zoom, or 0 to fit the whole map. Scroll or pinch also zooms. Drag blank space to pan while using the Select tool. Text inputs keep their normal typing and browser shortcuts.
  2. Use the map object search or room/item list to select a place. Focus its map marker or corner; Arrow keys move it by approximately 1% of the map dimension, and Shift+Arrow uses 0.1%. View-only pages do not move saved objects.
  3. In an editor, Ctrl/Cmd+Z undoes and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z or Ctrl/Cmd+Y redoes. Focus a distance label and press Enter to set its length. Escape cancels an active drawing tool without discarding already saved geometry.
  4. Unsaved changes and Saving changes do not mean a server save has completed. All changes saved appears only after a verified save response. Offline changes have not synced: keep the tab open and retry after reconnecting.
  5. If a save fails, recovery options appear below the editor so the current map controls stay in place. Open History options, then Review draft recovery options to reach them. Download your unsaved draft before replacing it. If another revision conflicts, review the saved layout before retrying; retry does not bypass version protection. Clearing a layout, deleting a floor and removing a building have separate confirmations naming what will be removed and kept.

Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
