Inventory & Locations
Create a blank floor plan and build at your own pace
Create a saved blank floor plan without drawing anything, then explore first and edit when ready.
How to use it
- Open Maps → Floor Plans. If no plan exists, choose Create Blank Floor Plan to save and open its read-only view, or Start Building Now to save and open the editor.
- A blank plan is complete enough to keep indefinitely. Rooms, walls, openings, dimensions, and inventory can all wait.
- Use Edit Floor Plan beside the view. Add Room uses the existing room templates or a custom room. Add Floor accepts basement, attic, and custom labels. The Floor selector retains the current floor in view/edit links.
- Choose Done Editing to save and return to the same floor. Click a room to open Room View; Edit Room manages its layout and eligible room items.
- Clear floor layout removes drawings and markers while keeping its floor and plan. Delete floor removes one floor when others remain. Clear Floorplan removes all floors and room drawings while keeping the building outline on the property map. Remove Building removes that outline and its floorplan. Clear All clears the entire property map and resets its boundary. All three preserve saved locations, inventory, and documents.
- After deleting the last plan, Maps → Floor Plans offers creation again. Navigation remembers a valid building and floor in this browser tab. Otherwise it opens the main house footprint first, then uses stable building IDs. Use the building links to switch plans.
Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
