Building a Home
Share plans and construction locations
Open the project’s authorized property workspace, keep alternatives separate, and retain verified plan history for handoff.
How to use it
- From an authorized builder project, choose Open plans. Property, building, floor and room links retain project context. Homeowners open the same base geometry through Property Map and Floor Plans; edit access comes from current permissions.
- Browse in view mode, then choose Edit Floor Plan or Edit Room when permitted. Normal active-plan saves update authorized current views. Builder views expose project-approved records; private household inventory and unrelated documents are not granted by a map link.
- Use History & proposals for a separate design alternative. Review differences and linked locations before promoting it as a new active revision. This geometry review is distinct from contractual selections, change orders and homeowner approval processes in Design & selections.
- Attach an authorized field, quality or equipment record to a wall or room location through Plan record locations. Wall anchors follow supported edits. Review uncertain locations, explicitly relink them or detach only the drawing pin. Private builder evidence must be shared through its source workflow before it appears in the homeowner catalog.
- Use the shared Import drawing review for source pages, scale, native geometry and warnings. IFC and larger restartable analysis are available only with the configured worker. Confirm sharing of the entire retained original, including unselected pages; upload a separately exported shareable file when needed.
- Before handoff, review the active plan and source evidence. The accepted handoff manifest freezes the reviewed property plan revision and shared records; subsequent active edits do not rewrite that historical package or a downloaded archive.
- Completed or handed-off projects do not retain redesign permission merely because the builder created the project. Revoked access or warranty-service access does not grant active geometry editing. Homeowner Preview remains read-only and does not impersonate the homeowner.
Active construction collaboration requires the household’s Ark+ entitlement. Household roles and builder permissions still apply. Existing history is preserved when access changes.
