Building a Home
Upload project documents and protect private information
Project uploads are shared with the homeowner immediately, before handoff.
How to use it
- Open Documents. Select a document or photo, add an optional title, and choose Upload document or Upload photo. Supported files are limited to 10 MB each. Use photo evidence for site and installation photos.
- Upload construction plans, permits, inspections, specifications, manuals, warranties, or customer-facing invoices and receipts. Retain originals and use Download original to retrieve a saved file.
- Uploads in Documents are shared project documents. Store confidential supplier quotes and invoices in the private supporting files for company financial records, outside this shared library. Field documentation has a separate private photo workflow: its drafts and photos stay private until the author explicitly shares the finalized report.
- Vendor, material, and progress notes can be saved as Builder private. Private field reports and notes are visible only to their author and are excluded from the homeowner handoff package. Selections, equipment and project documents are shared. Structured builder inspections start private and require explicit sharing; shared quality evidence stays accessible with the property.
- If an upload fails, keep the selected file and retry the same submission. Cancelling navigation retains the current unsaved input. Browser files must be reselected after closing or reloading the page.
Active construction collaboration requires the household’s Ark+ entitlement. Household roles and builder permissions still apply. Existing history is preserved when access changes.
