Building a Home

Keep daily logs and concealed construction photographs

Save private jobsite evidence, connect existing rooms, and explicitly share finalized reports with the homeowner.

How to use it

  1. Open Field documentation and choose Add daily log or Document concealed work. Give the report a title and work date. Add work performed, trades, deliveries, delays, observations, and follow-up requirements when relevant. Save private draft allows you to return later.
  2. For concealed work, choose a component category and record installation notes or measurements. Search existing property locations and choose a saved room or map feature, phase, task, or linked system. Describe the wall, ceiling, or floor reference; a room or area association is approximate and does not establish an exact concealed-system position.
  3. Open Photographs on the saved draft. Select JPEG, PNG, or WebP files, add a caption and photo date, and attach them. The limit is 10 MB per photo and 40 photos per report. Images are rotated, reduced to at most 4096 pixels, and saved without location metadata. Retain your source files separately.
  4. Edit draft while the evidence is incomplete. Finalize report preserves its details and photos privately. Use a correction report for later changes. Finalization does not share the report.
  5. Choose Review homeowner sharing, check the report and photo list, then Share report and photos. All report details and photographs become permanent homeowner records; sharing cannot be undone here. Earlier private drafts stay private.
  6. Create follow-up task creates one linked shared task in the existing schedule without publishing the private report. Review the task title before saving. Search reports by text, type, phase, or date to retrieve earlier work.
  7. Homeowners can open shared reports from the saved room’s Construction documentation in the room map. Shared records and photographs remain available after builder access ends. Reports do not create new rooms or replace the property map.

Active construction collaboration requires the household’s Ark+ entitlement. Household roles and builder permissions still apply. Existing history is preserved when access changes.
