Building a Home
Coordinate company members, trades and contextual decisions
Company membership, individual project grants and scoped trade invitations control different levels of access.
How to use it
- Open Company workspace. Create a company and invite verified email accounts as administrators, managers or members. The recipient accepts the invitation after signing in; no email is sent automatically. Owners can review a separate transfer of company ownership before deleting their account.
- Attach an existing property only with homeowner approval, or create a company project with your existing subscription capacity. Grant project access to each member, then enable management or financial permission only when needed. Revocation takes effect on subsequent server requests.
- Maintain Team and trades contacts and link their work to projects. Contacts alone do not grant account access. Open the project’s Updates & requests to invite a trade to selected tasks, documents and submission capabilities. Preview the scope, set its expiry and give the invitation link to the intended verified email recipient. The trade uses the limited Collaborate workspace.
- Open Discussion & responsibility on a task or shared record to assign an authorized participant or retain a contextual decision. Comments retain their author and date. Private comments stay author-only. Use Information request for a question, recipient, due date, supporting drawing and response history.
- Search this project finds authorized tasks, selections, equipment, field reports, documents and discussions. Results retain project context. Company tasks lists existing assigned project tasks; it does not create a second task system.
- Needs attention and notification preferences use existing per-property opt-in digests. Delivery requires configured email or push infrastructure; an assignment does not send an unsolicited message.
Active construction collaboration requires the household’s Ark+ entitlement. Household roles and builder permissions still apply. Existing history is preserved when access changes.
