Understand home value sources and equity

Each valuation is labelled with its type, source, date, range and confidence. Automated market estimates are off unless an operator has configured a provider.

How to use it

  1. Open Finance and find the valuation section. Each row shows its type: Market estimate, Assessed value, Your estimate or Appraisal, with the provider, date, range and confidence where known.
  2. Enter your own estimate, an assessed value or an appraisal by hand at any time. These work on every plan, and existing entries are shown as Your estimate.
  3. Market estimate and other sources lets you set the address, request an estimate and correct a wrong address match. This appears only where an operator has turned automated valuations on and configured a provider. No provider is enabled by default, and sample data is never shown as a real estimate.
  4. Equity needs both a valuation and debt evidence. The equity card names the valuation type, source and date, and the debt source and dates it used. Without both it shows no equity.
  5. Requests are limited to three refreshes per home per day; optional scheduled refreshes use a per-home interval.
  6. An estimate is not an appraisal, a payoff quote or a guarantee of value.

Manual valuations are available on every plan. Automated market estimates are intended for Ark+ and are off unless a provider is configured.
