Explore Property Map without editing
Use a read-only property overview, then open dedicated property, floorplan or room editors.
How to use it
- Open Property Map from navigation. Find mapped object searches buildings, named structures, linked equipment and room names across floors. Room results show their building and floor; use Arrow Down and Enter or tap a result to open that exact room. Pending edits are saved before navigating. Escape clears the map search. Zoom, pan, select exterior equipment or open a room without changing geometry or item positions. Choose Measure distance next to the view controls, then tap two points to see an approximate straight-line distance using the saved property width/depth scale and units. Clear measurement starts again; Done measuring or the toggle exits. A default-scale notice explains when known dimensions still need to be entered in Edit Property. Measuring does not save markers or change the layout.
- Click a room on desktop or tap it on mobile to open its actual room map. Hover or focus a room to preview up to five mapped item names; long press on mobile to preview without navigating. Use Dismiss or Escape to close the preview.
- Room previews count active mapped items, not every inventory record assigned to the room. Room item markers never appear on Property Map or on floorplans.
- Use the contextual Edit action in each page header. Edit Property changes boundaries, building positions and exterior equipment. Edit Floor Plan changes rooms, floors and shared spaces. Edit Room changes that room’s layout and belongings.
- The overview has no placement controls, resize handles or drag-to-edit gestures. The inventory and equipment records remain available in their existing workspaces.
Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
